My name is Angela Barney and I am a military trained Physician Assistant and graduated top 5% of the first combined Department of Defense Physician Assistant Programs at Fort Sam Houston Army Medical School in 1998. I served 20 years in the military and earned numerous awards which included the John Levitow Distinguished Graduate Award, Andrews Air Force Base Airman of the Year award and Company Grade Officer of the Year. I retired June 2006.
My civilian career started with the opening of the first Christian based urgent care clinic in Las Cruces, Covenant Clinics Urgent Care with Dr Robert Patterson at the helm. The clinic's vision, to provide the best, most competent and most compassionate care for the Las Cruces and surrounding community, is always at the forefront of my mind. Our patient's dedication and years of following have been the best evidence of achieving that goal and I will continue to strive for that kind of care. My ability to provide compassion and care to our clients has been driven by my love of Christ and my desire to share that with my patients.
My life outside of my career has been blessed with my husband of 37 years, two beautiful and successful children and 2 beautiful grand children. The challenges in life, my family and the amazing staff I have had the priviledge of working with these last 17 years has given me a heart of gratitude and the ongoing desire to provide medical care that I would want my own family to receive during their life time.
I look forward to working with ARCS, our new owners, who are innovative, energetic and committed to the best, most efficient health care in the New Mexico Region.
